Ina-Garten

Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host for the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa which debuted in 2002. It will air for 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began her career by working with the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. In the beginning, she was awed by being stimulated by the intellectual aspect of her job, but soon lost interest. In her place, she purchased Barefoot Contessa, a specialty restaurant. After more than 18 years of making her shop a huge success she sold it, and then began making her debut book. Numerous other books as well as journal articles followed. At the same time, her Food Network television show too made its debut and became popular. Her range of items spans from items for cooking in the kitchen to storage containers. Ina did not go to a cookery school nor did she work in an establishment. Ina is totally self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her simple approach to making food and her unpretentious approach to entertainment. She is known for her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Baked Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
